The PFC Trust, led by Frances Connelly, has generously donated £5000 to The Studio in Hartlepool to assist with maintenance and repair costs. The funds will be used to replace the broken air conditioning and heating system in the recording studio and live room, which has been seeing increased use by artists.
Karen Martin, Trustee of The Studio, expressed her gratitude for the unexpected donation, stating, "We were thrilled to receive the generous support from PFC Trust. As a charity operated by volunteers, we rely on self-funding to cover maintenance and repair expenses. The donation has enabled us to upgrade our air conditioning and heating system, providing a comfortable environment for the engineers and artists who use our facilities."
The decision to allocate the funds to temperature control was made in response to the fluctuating conditions in the studio, with Karen noting, "The recording room could be freezing in the winter or unbearably hot in the summer. Being able to regulate the temperature will significantly enhance the experience for all involved."
Representing PFC Trust, Mike Walker expressed his excitement to support a valuable community resource like The Studio, stating, "Music has the power to positively impact individuals' well-being, and we are proud to contribute to the continued success of this long-standing charity in Hartlepool.”
The PFC Trust's donation is a testament to their commitment to supporting initiatives that benefit the local community, and The Studio is grateful for their contribution.
